Yael is the owner and occupational therapist at Berkowitz TheraPeds. Yael has always had a passion for supporting children, youth and families of all ages and abilities. Since a young age she has worked and volunteered in various agencies and programs supporting children to learn, develop and engage in their environments.

Yael is energetic, passionate and creative. She strives to form connections with the children and families she works with to build on their strengths and encourage development and learning of new skills. Her goal is to increase confidence and personal understanding for each child and family she works with. Yael has a passion for supporting children and families working on developing strategies for emotional regulation, sensory processing, play and social communication skills and executive functioning needs. She has been fortunate to work with several First Nations around Manitoba and within school, community and clinic settings.

When not working as an Occupational Therapist, Yael enjoys walking her dog Eddie, hiking, playing word games and thrift shopping. She cannot wait to support your children and family through play, open-communication, creativity and strength-based learning!
