
Court Evaluator
Jocelyn Mitchell, MSW, RSW, currently holds a Master of Social Work and a registered member with the College of Manitoba Social Workers. Jocelyn is a compassionate and highly skilled social worker with extensive experience supporting children, youth, and families through complex emotional, behavioral, and legal challenges. With over a decade of work across school divisions, child and family service agencies, and clinical practice, Jocelyn brings a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to every family she serves.
Her background includes specialized training in abuse investigations, crisis intervention, and threat risk assessment, along with certification as a Trauma and Resilience Specialist – Clinical. This expertise allows her to navigate sensitive family dynamics with empathy, professionalism, and objectivity—key qualities in court-related evaluations.
Jocelyn is deeply passionate about helping families who are involved in the court process. She understands the stress and uncertainty that accompany legal proceedings and strives to create a supportive, respectful environment where families feel heard and understood. Through comprehensive assessment, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and clear, evidence-based reporting, Jocelyn’s goal is to promote the well-being of children while providing the court with balanced, clinically sound recommendations.
